Our Mission
Who We Support
About Us
VETERANS • MENTAL HEALTH • COMMUNITY
We build a shield wall around those who have carried the weight alone for too long—supporting veterans, strengthening mental health, and standing together when it matters most.
FOUNDED IN TEXAS
A SHIELD IS STRONGEST BESIDE ANOTHER
♡ OUR PURPOSE
Strength is not standing alone.
It is knowing who stands beside you.
The Shield Wall Foundation exists to bring people together around two needs that touch countless families: support for veterans and access to meaningful mental-health resources.
We believe help should feel human, dignity should never be conditional, and nobody should have to face life’s hardest battles without a community beside them.
WHERE WE STAND
Two causes.
One shield wall.
Our support alternates between veteran-focused and mental-health causes, allowing each effort to be intentional, visible, and rooted in real community needs.
“In a shield wall, each person protects the one beside them. That is the kind of community we are building.”
OUR BEGINNING
Built around lived
experience and a
promise to show up.
Founded in Texas in 2026, The Shield Wall Foundation was created by Matthew Fulsom with founding directors Mickye Wilson, a mental-health counselor, and Walter Cothron, a World War II veteran.
Their perspectives shaped a simple mission: unite people who care, direct support toward worthy veteran and mental-health causes, and make “No One Stands Alone” more than a motto.
